Chart At A Glance

  • Lindsey Stirling has done it again! She now has her second #1 on my chart, as “Crystallize” takes the top during this explosive week. Also, in an unusual first for my charting history, she takes #1 on my other chart, Top 20 Lifesongs, with a song from the same album (“Transcendence”, which originally came out over a year prior to debuting and thereby was a perfect candidate for the Lifesongs chart.)
  • Only 2 songs stand still from last week! Those would be #3, The Washington Projects’ former #1, “Time”, and #9, JJ Heller’s long-running favorite, “What Love Really Means”. All other 48 have traded places, fired up, plummeted, or otherwise moved.
  • This is definitely another banner week for Lindsey Stirling, as not only is she #1 again, but she has become the first artist in my chart’s history to have more than 5 songs charting simultaneously. “Song Of The Caged Bird” flies in at a lofty #10 debut (making for a record-breaking 4 songs by her inside my Top 10), and “Stars Align” enters at #45.
  • Some stars must have aligned for me in the past week, ha, as I scored a rare and unexpected opportunity to meet Lindsey! Hence the Lindsey mania this week and in the coming weeks, I’m sure! A blog entry about my experience will be forthcoming eventually, although hopefully soon.
  • One more piece of Lindsey news: “Zi-Zi’s Journey” rises up to #25, which now gives her a record-breaking 5 songs inside my Top 25. Wow!
  • In other news, Britt Nicole and Josh Groban see impressive gains of 10 or more spots with respective songs “Walk On The Water” and “Brave”.
  • And finally, Annie Moses Band scores the week’s third debut with “Blush” at #49. This has definitely been the most active week in a while, and this winter quarter is shaping up to be the most active in years.

For visual browsers only, Bullets (e.g., ▲ and ▼) appear on songs seeing a gain or loss of interest, regardless of movement. Upward bullets show gains—white for slight gains, aqua for high, and gold for very high. Downward bullets show losses—grey for slight losses, purple for high, and black for very high. “Jump Of The Week” and “Fall Of The Week”, when present, indicate songs with the biggest change in interest. Finally, songs below #50 become recurrents after 25+ weeks charting, or after 40+ weeks if they never peaked above #26. For more details, see my chart methodology.
