Anthony’s Weekly Top 50 Archives

#389: Jun 5 - 11, 2011

Chart At A Glance

  • My Top 5 stands still another week, and has now remain unchanged for a month
  • However, Shonlock continues to rise, now up to #7 with “Something In Your Eyes”, and Sidewalk Prophets jump into my Top 10; “You Love Me Anyway” rises from #12 to #9
  • Further down, RED and Jason Crabb rise a few spots
  • But, the big mover of the week is Skillet; “Lucy” fires up 24 spots to #23, and is their first chart hit since 2009’s “Hero”
  • Previously, Mary Mary had never had a song on my Top 50, but now they have 2. “Sitting With Me” rises a few spots to #37, and previous single “Walking” debuts at #36
  • Beckah Shae also scores a second song on the chart, as new single “Put Your Love Glasses On” enters at #39
  • The bottom half of my chart is getting crowded with new and recent entries, which is sure not a bad thing, just unusual. The number of songs “waiting in the wings” rises once again, now to 13, and the chart year is shaping up to be one of the most active ever

Rank This WeekRank Last WeekSong Title, by Artist
For visual browsers only, Bullets (e.g., ▲ and ▼) appear on songs seeing a gain or loss of interest, regardless of movement. Upward bullets show gains—white for slight gains, aqua for high, and gold for very high. Downward bullets show losses—grey for slight losses, purple for high, and black for very high. “Jump Of The Week” and “Fall Of The Week”, when present, indicate songs with the biggest change in interest. Finally, songs below #50 become recurrents after 25+ weeks charting, or after 40+ weeks if they never peaked above #26. For more details, see my chart methodology.
